Chateau D Etelan 2022 Jerome Ortet Guinguette Csnt

The guinguettes

There are four of them, like the Three Musketeers. But there’s no need for feathered hats, capes or swords. Just come as you are!

The concept

Take a village square (not too big, the village) or, failing that, a private plot of land that can accommodate large tables, benches and chairs. All around, local producers. Really local, with their cheeses, breads, beers, sausages, merguez, vegetables and, above all, their know-how. Add a live band, shake things up and you’ve got it… Welcome to the “guinguettes entre Seine et mer” organised by Caux Seine Normandie Tourisme every year in July and August.

Discover the village

You can arrive as early as 6.30pm, with your cooler or empty-handed. In either case, local producers will be on hand to quench your thirst.

While you’re waiting for the band to start playing, you’ll have plenty of time to take part in walks around the village and discover the local heritage, personalities and craftspeople.

From 8pm onwards, there’s plenty of danceable music, from the 60s to the hits of the moment.

Conviviality and good humour

For all ages, all styles and all budgets – because it’s free – the guinguettes are a breath of fresh air, happiness and good humour in the heart of summer. Every year, between 1,500 and 1,800 people come together at each guinguette for evenings where conviviality and togetherness take on their full meaning.

And you... what are you doing this summer?
