Our 100% local beers

There are four of them. Four brewers offering craft beer in Caux Seine. They are spread throughout the region and brew quality beers. Brotonia, Yata, Saint-Wandrille and Godène are all beers to be enjoyed with pleasure, but also in moderation.

Brotonia La Mailleraye-sur-Seine

On the Left Bank, in La Mailleraye-sur-Seine, Marc Haffner has launched the production of La Brotonia beer. A beer made from organic malts and locally-harvested hop flowers. A local product, as the Romans and later the Carolingians liked to drink in the nearby Brotonne forest. If the beers produced are excellent, the brewer is not lacking in authenticity either. In addition to his passion for beer, Marc Haffner is also a singer and opera teacher.

La Yata Lillebonne

He is the latest arrival on the Caux Seine territory. Jérôme Harel started brewing in his garage before moving to Lillebonne in 2023. Today, Jérôme produces seven different beers: blonde, white, amber, triple and even quadruple, as well as seasonal ephemeral beers. He likes to share his passion with others, and invites them to taste his beers in the boutique next to his brewery.

La Godène Bennetot

Marc Eudes has been producing La Godène beer since 2016. A beer on the farm, since Marc is also a farmer. He launched into beer production to diversify his business and, as he puts it himself, “meet people”. A dozen different beers are produced here, to suit all tastes. As for the term Godène, it refers to the ancient milk jug pulled by donkeys in the Pays de Caux region. The donkey is now the brewery’s emblem, and is featured on the labels.

La Saint-Wandrille Saint-Wandrille Abbey

It is the only beer in France produced by monks in an abbey. Abbaye de Saint-Wandrille beer has been produced since 2016, and its reputation has already spread far beyond the borders of Normandy. The monks claim that this is a beer for sharing. That’s probably why it’s only packaged in 50 cl format. The original beer, a 6.5° alcohol blond amber, is a generous, gourmet beer. Two other beers are brewed by the monks. An IPA, refreshing and lighter, and a dark beer, a little stronger and with Irish accents.
