New Year’s Concert at Valasse Abbey

The New Year’s Concert, which has been held for many years, is a must-see event at Valasse Abbey.

Let yourself be surprised

When winter envelops Valasse Abbey in its subdued light and the estate seems to hold its breath, a unique event is about to set the Grande Halle alight with a thousand sparks.
A moment suspended in time, eagerly awaited by all those who love to be moved by classical music and swept away by the magic of a symphony orchestra.

On 10 and 11 January 2026, step through the doors of the Grande Halle for the traditional New Year’s concert, presented by the Caux Seine Agglo Conservatoire. A tradition that has become a ritual, a ritual that has become enchantment.

This year, the music unfolds like a tale in motion.
From Bernstein to Strauss, via Mozart, Korngold, Colombier and Tchaikovsky, the programme spans the ages just as one turns the pages of a book of musical adventures: bursts of humour, the lyricism of Hollywood, the gentleness of an intimate whisper and the timeless magic of ballet.
