In the 19th century, the Seine was far from being a long, quiet river. For almost a century, it underwent titanic works that enabled Rouen to continue as a seaport. A notebook used between 1932 and 1954, recently added to the collections, shows plans for these major works between Berville and Honfleur. An opportunity to immerse yourself, with the help of a mediator, in this little-known history, which nevertheless profoundly transformed the course of the Seine estuary.
